You can find this bet for +210 on ESPN Bets but we still like it at +200 everywhere else.
The premise of this bet is chasing value early on in the season when sharps and the public have no idea how great a team is. In our opinion, we like the Wildcats today for various reasons. They are ranked #1 on KenPom and #8 on Evan Miya, compared to Louisville being ranked #12 on KenPom and #10 on Evan Miya. The reason there is such a stark difference is because Kentucky is a juggernaut on defense which eliminates the home court advantage for Louisville. Led by a frontcourt of Moreno, Garrison, and Dioubate, the Wildcats defense should contain any offensive threat on that end. In addition, we expect defensive specialist Denzel Aberdeen to do a great job of taking on the assignment of the either LOU guard whether it’s Conwell or Brown. With enough firepower on the offensive end and an elite defense, we expect Mark Pope to escape the road with a win the way he escaped jury duty.
