Stacks: MIA, UL
Optimal: Daniels, Neal, Wright, Thrash
This slate is certainly a bit different than yesterday. A much more consolidated slate, but still some electric options.
Jalon Daniels is a dark horse Heisman for us. What he did early last season was nothing short of spectacular. He ran for 6 TD and threw for 11 across the first 4 weeks. Stacks weren’t really a thing with him due to his legs and spread targets, but if you feel the need to stack him you can use the projections to pick a WR option that fits your build. Sticking with Kansas, Devin Neal is the best RB on the slate talent wise. He’s got huge upside with big play ability, and can bust open any run. His volume wasn’t ideal last year, but as the undisputed top dog he should be due for a solid workload here. On the other side of the ball, Jacardia Wright is the best value on the slate. He’s cheap, and they’re talking about giving him a nice workload. He’s a former Kansas State wildcat, so this level of competition won’t faze him. He’s a great play. Don’t hesitate game stacking these RBs.
If stacking with your QB is more your thing, we like Tyler Van Dyke. He’s not very mobile, but he can sling it a bit. He’s got Xavier Restrepo and Colbie Young as the two to stack with him. We don’t love Van Dyke naked as his value comes through the air, but either WR can be used without him. Jacolby George is the deep GPP WR to pair with him, and Elijah Arroyo is a system play for me. Van Dyke loves his TE throughout his career, and Arroyo may be the most athletic one he’s had. None of these guys will be in optimal lineups, but they project as a solid GPP stack for us.
For UL we love the idea of Jack Plummer to Jamari Thrash. Thrash probably has the most upside on the slate. He had 1122-7 last year at Georgia State, and now gets a more “air it out” QB throwing to him. Plummer had an aDoT of 9 last year, and supported Jeremiah Hunter’s 14.4 aDoT on 88 targets. Also worth noting Plummer fed his top two targets. With this in mind, Thrash becomes a fantastic option for us on a weak slate at the WR position. UL RB Jawhar Jordan seems poised to handle a healthy load tonight, and he’s got some upside in this matchup. Jordan could go in optimal lineups if he fits, while Thrash is a top priority to start with.
Michigan State has had a lot of turnover this offseason, but Tre Mosley and Montorie Foster seem poised to step up. They need an identity at WR, and these two are the most known entities they’ve got, and the coaching staff has been vocal about them — especially Mosley — stepping up this fall. Mosley slots in alongside Thrash as our priority WRs on this slate.
Conclusion: This slate is smaller, and doesn’t have as many firm locks for us. However, we don’t want you to leave the lineup screen without the core of Daniels, Neal, Wright, Thrash, and Mosley. Make sure to check out the projections for updates as the day progresses, and have Discord notifications on before lock to catch any late news!
Note: Stanford has “or” at QB-RB-WR. 3 QB, 4 RB, 6 WR. Proceed with caution there as we can’t know for sure who will actually start.
