Happy Friday all we hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving. As we get into the slate today, we will start with quarterbacks. Coming in at the top ownership on the slate, we have none other than George’s quarterback, Carson Beck. Georgia should be able to score it will on Georgia Tech, and the masses are assuming that it’ll be because of Beck‘s arm however he is the same price as Shedeur Sanders, who will also be very chalky. In a straight up one on one, we will side with Sanders who gets to finish out the season against one of the worst defenses in the country at home. On the other side of that game, Oklahoma State will start the freshman quarterback once again who had a phenomenal day in his first outing against Texas Tech. The Cowboys offense is firing on all cylinders when they have a mobile quarterback under center. For some reason, DraftKings priced him below where he probably should be at $6000. Colorado’s defense just got annihilated by a strong Kansas Jayhawk run game. This feels like a great game stack spot in which neither defense will be at the game today and both offenses should have no problem moving the football. From the Oklahoma State side, we like Smith, Gordon, Presley, and one of Stribling or Owens.
Other quarterbacks to consider on this slate, Jackson Dart who could have a ceiling game, but it hasn’t played well as of late. Ashton Daniels, who is more of an athlete than a quarterback, but always has rushing upside. Walker Eget, who is coming off a miserable performance, may find himself lower owned on this slate and has had some blow up games this season, and at his price, it’s hard to screw that up. We do probably prefer Smith over him though, just because of the leverage. Peep the header for other upside options we like.
At running back, it’s all about Ashton Jeanty. At $14,000, it is a steep ask to try and get him into your lineups. He is essentially going to have to see roughly 60 points to pay off that price tag on a slate with so many high upside running back options. That is not to say that he can’t do it. We’ve seen him do some amazing things this season, but personally, I’ll be going elsewhere at the running back position. Note that on FanDuel, he is much more reasonably priced and is essentially a lock on that site. Is the return of Ollie Gordon finally here? He’s coming off three straight games of 100+ yards in a touchdown. We just saw Devin Neal have a career day against this Buffalo defense, and we fully expect Ollie Gordon to do the same. As stated above the Colorado Oklahoma State game will be a ton of fun to stack and we love Gordon as one of those stack pieces. Micah Bernard will without question be one of the top owned pieces on the slate and for good reason. He shouldn’t be priced below 7k, and yet here we are. RJ Harvey will be chalky as well. He gets fed like a bell cow and should be treated as such. Justin Marshall and Nate Frazier are your value backs on this slate. Both will be very chalky and can be used in all cash formats.
Wideout is a bundle of fun, Travis Hunter is your alpha pick on this slate without question. He should be 10000% owned facing this miserable secondary as he’s on his heisman campaign. Nick Nash is crazy expensive but projects well if you wanted to try and force him in at minimal ownership. Jordan Watkins is very chalky and can be played in all formats, along with Cayden Lee. If you’re playing both, you don’t HAVE to play Dart, they are cheap enough to not need him when you can snag a cheaper QB. Kole Wilson and Grant Page are your cheap receivers that both project for 10+ points at 3k salary. Neither project very chalky, which is somewhat surprising. If you wanted to get really crazy, you could take Wilson, Page, and Marshall at running back, and load up everywhere else.
In Summary, FanDuel is very similar on this slate, with the exception of Ashton Jeanty being very affordable. He is a lock on that site. Your CORE today, should Marshall, Sanders, Hunter, Bernard, with one of Lee, Watkins. At QB in GPPs, M. Smith for Oklahoma State has tons of upside in a positive game script. His first career start he dropped 29 points, and is a direct pivot from a chalkier Eget.
