MLB | Atlanta Braves -1.5

The Braves are going up against Dakota Hudson which is a recipe for a full-blown offensive eruption tonight. Hudson is a heavy sinker ball pitcher and throws it nearly half the time to righties and nearly 40% of the time to lefties. Lefties have a .198 xISO/.348 xwOBA against it but righties have a .362 xISO/.403 xwOBA off the pitch. We absolutely love targeting Braves hitters against poor sinker balls. We have the chance to do that tonight. Acuna (.227/.428), Ozuna (.305/.458), Riley (.196/.396), Olson (.390/.460), Rosario (.330/.447), Harris (.285/.405), and Albies (.275 xISO) all have elite numbers against the sinker. Spencer Strider will be on the bump for Atlanta tonight, and he’s poised to shut down this Cardinals’ lineup. Over the last thirty days, lefties have a .111 xISO/.260 xwOBA and righties have a .081/.212 line. Atlanta has a major edge on the mound and batting tonight, which makes us confident in them to cover the spread. This line is currently at -148, and we’d take it to -170.
