Akron has a terrific coach in John Groce and he knows he needs to make this one ugly to have a chance against Creighton. Akron has played four teams that rank in the top-100 in KenPom and no game has eclipsed 142 points. Creighton relies on the 3-pt jumper for the bulk of their offense but Akron ranks 13th best in 3-pt% defense. If Creighton can’t score from 3, things can get very ugly. Neither of these teams get to the free throw line often and each team is terrific at defensive rebounding so possessions should be mostly one and done.
