We are actually seeing this at 6.5 (-160) in some places, but we prefer to bump it up to 7.5, where you can get anywhere from +115 to +122, with the best price currently available at FanDuel (+122). Luzardo has been a buzz saw of late, going over this number in six of his last eight starts, including a previous outing against this same Miami Marlins team. On the season, Luzardo owns elite strikeout rates of around 30% against hitters from both sides of the plate, and those numbers have climbed even higher over the last 30 days, including an absurd 50% strikeout rate against left-handed hitters. While he is only expected to face two lefties today, there are four Marlins projected to start who strike out at least 24% of the time against left-handed pitching, with three hitters at the bottom of the lineup striking out at a 30% clip or higher. Luzardo has also done an excellent job limiting traffic on the bases recently, allowing him to work more efficiently and pitch deeper into games, giving him ample opportunity to clear this number.
